Pamela is a dynamic and compassionate leader who demonstrates leadership skills through her involvement at school, in the community and her church. She’s in the AFJROTC program where she serves as Cadet Lieutenant Colonel and leads a unit of 131 cadets. She organizes and manages the unit’s activities, such as a Thanksgiving Food Drive or Holiday Toy Drive for families in need.

Additionally, she planned and hosted the AFJROTC Military Ball, a large and complex event that required her to manage logistics, delegate responsibilities and ensure smooth execution.

“My friend invited me to ROTC and I never thought I would end up a leader within the organization,” said Pamela. “I have learned so much from my leadership roles. It’s made me empathic, resilient and improved my decision-making skills.I highly recommend that students find something they are passionate about and get involved in their community.”

She’s also in a leadership role with AFJROTC Honors Society, MESA (Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement) and her church youth group. Additionally, she’s proud of her heritage and enjoys performing with the Mariachi Apache, using music as a tool to give back to her community. Pamela also finds time to volunteer with the Boys and Girls Club and at veteran events such as the Buffalo Soldiers Ceremony.

Her service also extends to athletics where she’s a Varsity Volleyball player.  She is deeply committed to making her community a better place and leads efforts that promote positive change. Pamela is planning to major in Architecture.
